Back in 1972, Earl Beard started manufacturing painter pants and carpenter pants for a Brooklyn overall company in a small sewing shop in the heart of Texas, USA. More than 40 years on, Stan Ray - named after Earl’s youngest son, is still family-run and centered in Crockett, Texas, working in unison with the brand’s Australian division to make clothes designed for movement, with minimum fuss and maximum practicality.

A regular/straight fit jacket featuring a classic collar, four front pockets with front button fastening - look super flattering worn open.

The origins of the chore jacket stem from late nineteenth-century France, where this style of outer garment was ideal for the tough physical work of labourers, railroad workers, and farmers. Most frequently made out of durable cotton drill, the Stan Ray chore jacket is constructed from sturdy cotton twill herringbone, a traditional workwear fabric used by several militaries during and after WWII.

Pixie is 162.5cm tall & usually wears a size 6 - pictured she wears size XS

100% Ramie

Light Pink Herringbone

Made in Texas | Gentle Wash, if you treat your pieces with care they will last a lifetime
