Sphaera was founded in 2015 by visual artist and complementary health practitioner Ali Johnson. At its core is a studio practice and an approach to making that is both intuitive and thoughtfully researched, a conceptual response to rituals around self-care and cleaning. Sphaera offers simple, utilitarian objects for everyday use with a distinctive depth and purpose.

A specialised complexion soap for face and body. Crafted to brighten and balance the skin, with gentle anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities, it soothes and purifies. Especially suited to oily or problematic skins needing deep gentle cleansing.

New Zealand olive oil, infused with Kawakawa. A small tree with heart shaped leaves endemic to New Zealand, Kawakawa is known as the pharmacy of the forest due to its many medicinal applications, internal and external. It has powerful anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial qualities and soothes the skin. Kawakawa is harvested with respect according to Tikanga Maori (customary protocol) of Rongoa Maori (traditional Maori medicine). Activated charcoal draws impurities away gently from the skin, providing a deep, gentle cleanse without drying.
