Our friends at Perimeter Books are always at the forefront of publishing and producing incredible publications, including their most recent photobook Coney Island by Bec Parsons.
Bec Parsons is one of Australia's leading fashion photographers, revered and respected for her ability to connect with her subject. Her international career has seen her shooting for the likes of Oyster, Harper's Bazaar, and her very own publication Love Want.
Parsons' debut photobook Coney Island (Perimeter Editions 028) features images from the early Spring of 2012, following a young Julia Nobis amidst the idiosyncratic surrounds of the beachside Brooklyn neighbourhood from which the book takes its title. In the book we witness the very ability of Parsons' to connect deeper than surface level – we don't just gaze at Nobis from a distance, we wander with her.
