Kloke's SS17 collection 10,000 Smokes has just hit stores and we can't get enough. Initially inspired by a trip to Hawaii, the range explores the destructive capabilities of volcanoes, balancing this against the natural beauty of volcanic surrounds, stark landscapes left behind in the wake of eruptions, and the assorted tourists that eventually refill them.
Creative Directors Adam and Amy Coombes used this platform to further inform a newfound appreciation for volcanoes and volcanology, particularly Alaska’s Katmai Valley of 10,000 smokes, providing a well-rounded approach to their tenth collection.
Ribbed sleeveless tops and wide brim hats evoke the senses of travel and adventure so much of this collection is framed upon. Meanwhile, familiar Kloke silhouettes – elasticated waist skirts, folded neckline dresses and prominent scoop necks, ensure the brand remains true to the consistent and proven formula with which fans of the brand will no doubt be familiar.
