Dress up is the project behind Melbourne designer, Stephanie Downey, who launched the label in 2006 with a small collection of pieces that has transformed Dress Up into one of Melbourne’s iconic labels. Graduating from RMIT at the same time as designers such as Ingrid Verner of Verner and Kate Reynolds and Amanda Cumming of Pageant, these innovative, driven labels have earned a strong hold of support in the industry within Melbourne.

Each collection from Dress Up tells a story, translating memories of both people and places to construct and assemble a perfectly structured, flattering and feminine collection of garments. With reference to the 70’s and 90’s, the colour palate of each collection can easily slip into any woman’s wardrobe. With  pieces that are made well, well thought out and continue to produce quality of quantity season after season. Creating these effortless, soft and dreamy pieces is why Dress Up is a treasured member of the Monk House Design family, which reflects back into it’s processes of adapting a slower, more sustainable outlook.

The AW18 Collection from Dress Up's, “Heart to Heart” offers a beautiful muted colour palate, with the use of natural fibers, interesting cuts with simple yet perfectly fitting details.  Stand out pieces from this collection are the Soft Polo Sweater in Biscuit, the Soft Belted Dress in Charcoal and the perfectly structured Wide Pant in Charcoal.
