KA-HE grows from strength to strength with TAKE.YOU, the second collection exploring individuality and open mindedness with a tight nine piece collection. Inspiration for TAKE.YOU came from thoughts of self awareness and being conscious of your environment. 'I wanted to create garments that made the person wearing them think about, and manipulate the garment for themselves, such as they should do with life,’ says designer Kacy Haywood. Each garment offers the wearer a new way of thinking about how they wear the piece, with customisable elements and at least two ways they can be worn. This idea of duality was also seen in KA-HE’s SS14 collection ‘Return Investment’ which focused on mutual exchange. TAKE.YOU moves from this, into exploring the idea of the consumer taking the garment as their own. Through a plus/minus kind of approach, each garment is designed and constructed to be worn in a variety of ways including elements that can be added or taken away.

The TAKE.YOU shirt can be worn as a skirt and the TAKE.YOU jumpsuit can be tied in different ways to give a completely different look. An especially interesting piece, the Panel Skirt, uses four panels to create the body of the skirt. Each panel can be completely removed in order to change the shape of the skirt. Made in exclusively small numbers in Melbourne, each KA-HE garment explores elements that are at the root of the label; individuality, practicality and duality.
